She makes a bargain with Kate: Because otherwise, the story is perfectly Regency-like. Shocking were those two almost frightening heartlessly cruel mothers. The Gothic tone and mysterious setting of the moors next to the sea make this a wonderful Fall or rainy day read. That said, I would still recommend this book. I love that they stay clean but are also quite romantic. This one definitely sounds like one I might read as a palate cleanser and that’s a good thingthough Juluanne prefer the Jane Austen-esque one to the Wuthering Heights-y one never a Heathcliff fan.

Kate Worthington has two great desires in her life one is to get away from her troublesome fam Julianne Donaldson is an up and coming author of regency books along the lines of Jane Austen. I’d recommend them both when you want to read something that makes you happy.

But the romance was great, filled with tension and the wondering if things are going to work out.
